Does Self Care feel like an impossible task right now?

Is it just one more thing on top of the pile of "things you have to do" that you can't seem to crawl out from under because there is never enough time.

Friend, I'm here to tell you that until you put your own needs first, everything else that you try to do will suffer, and you will burn out.

You deserve the same care you give to others.

There will always be urgent things.

Build your own strength, and you will actually be able to manage the rest of your life better.

You aren't meant
to rush from one thing to the next until you collapse in exhaustion.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret.

You don't have to.

I've been where you are. Raising and homeschooling 6 children overseas while filling several key roles at the nonprofit my husband and I founded, I ran myself ragged taking care of other people. I didn't believe it was possible to stop long enough to take care of myself.

Until I had to, because I was completely falling apart. It wasn't until the other side of that collapse that I experienced how much better I am at everything when I put my own needs first. I want you to experience that too, before you crash and burn.

This little checklist won't take away all the things that are overwhelming. But, these small steps will help you feel less overwhelmed and more in control of your life, in only minutes each day.
